X Cleaner ("we", "our", "the extension") is a Chrome browser extension that helps users delete their tweets, retweets, and likes from X (formerly Twitter). We are committed to protecting your privacy.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the service:

• X User ID — Your public X/Twitter user ID (extracted from your session cookie). Used to track your free daily usage quota and link your license key.
• License Key — A unique identifier generated when you first use the extension. Stored locally in your browser and on our server.
• Usage Count — The number of deletions you perform per day (for free tier quota enforcement). We do not store the content of deleted items.
• Email Address — Only if you purchase a paid plan (Pro or Premium), your email is collected by Stripe during checkout. We store it to link your Stripe account to your license.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your X/Twitter password
• We do not read, store, or transmit the content of your tweets, retweets, or likes
• We do not collect your browsing history
• We do not track you across websites
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties
• We do not use your data for advertising

4. How the Extension Works

X Cleaner operates entirely within your browser on x.com. It uses your existing authenticated session (cookies) to interact with the X/Twitter API — the same API calls that the X website makes when you manually delete a tweet. The extension never accesses your password or authentication tokens directly.

5. Third-Party Services

• Stripe — We use Stripe for payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data: stripe.com/privacy

6. Data Storage

• Local storage — Your license key and protected items list are stored in Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local). This data stays on your device.
• Server storage — Your X user ID, license key, tier, and daily usage count are stored on our server. Deletion logs (item count and type, not content) are stored for Premium users' statistics feature.

7. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as you have an active license. You can request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to your stored data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Uninstall the extension at any time, which stops all data collection

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All communications between the extension and our server use HTTPS encryption.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the extension or our website.
